Just a note to our players: there are currently eighteen characters on their final warnings. Please be active, or drop your characters to be fair to the players around you who may wish to use capped powers, taken PBs, or who may have their plots or character drama tangled and stalled because of inactivity. Remember that acceptable activity is listed as once every two weeks, with either a journal post or a thread in boom_town or boom_talk. Comments do not count as activity. Because these characters are on their final strike, making them active with one post will not be sufficient. They must become regularly active to remain in the game. Remember, plotting among one another is vital and encouraged. Kudos to Ceanna for reaching out with in an OOC post for Marly. Feel free to brainstorm here if you don't want to put up your own posts.

Notes: Simon is a British import from a wealthy family. He's a student at FLU and Bobby's roommate. His abilities and alignment are entirely negotiable. As far as personality goes, Simon is an asshole through and through. He's cocky and generally doesn't give crap about others. He likes to throw his money around and he'll bang anything walking. Simon also doesn't get told "no" very often and has a tendency to piss off everyone around him. Sounds great doesn't he?

Character Name: Joseph Molloy

Notes: Joseph is the father of Jude [notabeatlessong] and Desmond [notaballad] Molloy. He was once a student and sidekick of Frank Stryder, before going solo and becoming Maelstrom. He has the power of weather manipulation. He retired when his wife, Diana, became pregnant with the boys, and has kept his superhero side of himself pretty well hidden from the twins.

Character Name: Richard Reynolds
Gender/Age: Male / Late 40s.

Notes: Richard is a big-headed superhero, with all the wrong makings of a father. He's only cared about making his daughter a sidekick, and when that failed, he merely kicked his daughter, Autumn, out of the house. He outted his superhero identity, and has the powers of super-strength and x-ray vision.

Notes: Dave is an interesting fellow. Kind of a bossy know-it-all, but a very lovable bossy know-it-all. He is filled with great sage wisdom. His catch phrase is something along the lines of The Dave Knows Best, or Don't Question The Dave. He has the power of SUPERPRODUCTIVITY. As in he doesn't have to stop working, and he and those around him get things done like a million times faster than it would take them normally. Like if you would normally take five hours to write a paper, around him you would take like ten minutes. That's how superproductive he is! Joined SMART in the fifth grade rather forcefully. He put GLUE in their hair. Left the group when he was 19 to pursue a solo career as a vigilante. He is neither a villain, nor a hero. He's after the government. He may or may not also have a group of devote followers that refer to him as The Magi.

Character Name: Lucas "Luke" Meyer (previously Grimes)
Gender/Age: Male, 17. Will be turning 18 next summer.
Suggested PB: Scott Porter.
Notes: Healer. Codename totally up to the player. He's the estranged son of Rhett Grimes. His mother is Tamara "Tammy" Meyer. Both his mother and father are from Alabama but Luke spent the first several years of his life in Okinawa, Japan at a Marine base camp (where he was born) or in the suburbs of Jacksonville, NC. His Marine dad fought in the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Somalia; he also moonlighted as a superhero called The Spongeinator in the 80s (way before Tammy and Luke). All the men in the Grimes family have been war veterans. They have also all suffered from crippling PTSD and Luke's dad is no different. It's likely Luke only remembers his father as the drunk angry man who used to beat on his mother. Tammy divorced Rhett after Rhett turned himself into the police. She then changed her and 7 year-old Luke's name and moved away. She's been married twice more (bringing her total marriages to 4) in those following 10 years and both husbands were inevitably abusive--at least one of them smacked around Luke, too. His ability was really handy. Right now, he and his mom are hiding out in Seattle, WA to avoid her most recent husband who's stalked them since the divorce. Luke's turning 18 soon and will be graduating high school in the spring. Tammy is urging him to go to college and Rhett's trying not to pine for his son who he hasn't seen or spoken to in a decade. Whatever Luke ends up doing is entirely up to the player.

Character Name: Delilah "Dede" Caper (surname is negotiable)
Gender/Age: Female, 24.
Suggested PB: Taryn Manning. (Not really negotiable. Hair color is up in the air. Dede's a natural dishwater blonde but it can be dyed whatever color you choose. Taryn has had every hair color under the sun. Happy hunting. She's also a tiny person so Dede will likely be rockin' some 5-7 inch heeled boots!)
Notes: Dede is the younger half-sister of Cassius "Cash" Salvo (manandhisdyna). They share the same mother. Like Cash, she is originally from the Detroit, MI area. Her father is Cash's step father. Her mother was 21 when Dede was born. Cash was 5. He's always been protective of Dede much to her annoyance but she's had a serious hate-on for Cash ever since Cash punched out her daddy when she was 10, Cash was 16. She's forgotten the part of Mom getting a back-hand from Dad beforehand. Her Dad is a very controlling man and once Cash moved away to Boom Town, NY, she started to act out. This culminated with her becoming an exotic dancer following high school. She danced at the Deja Vu in Detroit for a few years but once Cash and his friends got signed for a reality TV show about their car and motorcycle shop in Boom Town, Dede moved to BT as well. (There is a reason for this, she has some history with one of Cash's boys.) She currently dances at The Clover but she is still very frigid toward Cash.

Average Joe: Not yet famous, either by choice or because they're struggling to find their name in the world.
Subcultural: Very famous in tightly knit groups, possibly even across the globe but they're so sparse that it's hardly even considered fame at all to characters with higher hopes.
Metropolitan: Only widely famous in one specific city.
Regional: Famous in multiple places on a wider scale, whether that be several cities, counties/provinces or states.
National: Famous in one nation, all over, and depending on the character, this status will only last so long before they take the next step.
Global: It is what it sounds like. Your character will be known the world over, a household name and they probably even have their own sports drink.
Galactic: Yes, there are other inhabited planets where some can obtain more fame and fortune and whatnot, but this status is difficult to achieve if you've never been to any of them before. Usually, only alien life forms can obtain this level of celebrity status.
